The Dangers of Low Fat Food when Losing
Weight
So you want to lose weight and you have quite a way
to go? You don't want to add any kind of exercise
programme to your weight loss for the moment so the only
way to lose weight is through calorie counting and eating
low fat food? Wrong?
Any dieter may think that the only way that they can
lose weight is through eating low fat foods but these can
sometimes be your worst enemy. Low fat foods are low in
fat as stated on whichever packet is purchased but did
you know that low fat foods are also full of
sugar.
Because of the lack of fat the makers of low fat
foods need to add a tasty substitute to their low fat
food and it is usually in the form of sugar so whenever
you eat a low fat dessert or pudding although it may
contain less fat it still contains a lot of sugar and
sugar is not what your body needs when you are trying to
lose weight.
There are so many adverts advertising weight loss
foods and the people who seem them who really are in need
of help and motivation to lose weight can sometimes get
manipulated in purchasing the item.
Yes it might taste nice but these products are a con
because they make people believe that they are going to
lose weight off them. Yes some might but not all of them.
The best thing I can say with trying to lose weight is to
treat yourself at least once a week with anything you
fancy. If it's a cream cake you want, have
one.
As long as it's just 1 and not a full box you're
fine. You're not breaking any rules and yes the
ingredients are all bad, full of fat etc but at least the
product isn't stating any broken promises unlike the
enemy: low fat foods.
Low fat foods can also be expensive. The makers of
low fat foods want people to know that it's a delicious
product that can also help people lose weight. If only
people knew how the product makers really work? Here's an
example for you to look at.
Low fat yoghurt's probably have the same sugar count
as 1 full fat yoghurt. Shocking I know but that's the
truth about low fat products. Take a look in the
supermarket at the ingredients of low fat foods and most
of them will have a main ingredient of
sugar.
Stay away from low fat foods to lose weight and if
there's an item you love buy the original item and not a
low fat item. The evil low fat items may actually be
working against your weight
loss goals rather than working for
you.
