Spinning and Weight Loss
When you wish to lose weight you can simply calorie
count and lose weight easily that way or you can choose a
super form of intensive cardiovascular training that
burns loads of calories, improves your stamina and muscle
endurance and helps you drops pounds in a short space of
time.
One of those forms of intensive training is spinning.
Spinning is an indoor cycling class that is usually
available at the gym and it can burn more calories than
jogging. On average per 45 minute session one can expect
to burn around 600 calories.
The bike has an amazing flywheel which actually picks
up speed similar to riding outdoors. The feet are
stabilised in the cage and there is a resistance knob
which can indicate how easy or difficult you want your
actual workout to be.
The more resistance that is used the more your body
is put under stress, burns more calories and builds lean
muscle mass. Spinning can also become one of the most
addictive forms of exercise you may ever come
across.
If you team spinning with a calorie controlled diet
for weight loss you are pretty much going to succeed with
your goals. When calorie counting the body is put under
stress and the metabolism may be reduced because the body
may feel 'starved.'
When a high impact exercise such as spinning is put
into the weight loss programme the body can only
correspond by burning lots of calories, adding lean
muscle mass and helping you get to your goal
weight.
As well as helping you shed weight, spinning will
peel inches off your body and tone your calves, thighs
and buttock muscles. There are so many levels of spinning
available. Your instructor will run through the moves
such as sprinting, hill climbing and more advanced moves
such as jumping which help to tone the abdominal
muscles.
Spinning can help push you though that plateau stage
that can come with long term weight loss. If no form of
exercise has been performed when trying to lose weight
and you have reached a stage where no more weight is
being shed then a high intensive exercise such as
spinning will definitely help you reach your weight loss
goals.
Follow your calorie controlled diet every day but
also incorporate 2-3 spinning sessions per week to really
set that metabolism on fire and reach your weight loss
goal more easily.
