Habits and Weight Loss
How easy is it these days to just jump in the car and
go to wherever you need to go? But what if you didn't
have a car how would you get around? Would you rely on a
taxi, bus or train to get to your destination or would
you step out of your routine and try another natural form
of transportation through walking?
If you've never been a fan of walking or any exercise
there are ways to make it more fun. Get an MP3 player and
listen to music while you walk or get a dog. Dogs need
daily walks and once you get into a routine with dog
walking you may find that you enjoy exercise
more.
Or just think about when TV's were first invented. Do
you think that a remote control was available to easily
jump from one channel to the next? Highly unlikely.
People who owned the first TV's had to get up to switch
channels and performing any form of activity even getting
up to switch over the TV requires
calories.
Next time you want to watch a different channel try
doing it by hand. Just the fact that you have forced your
body up will burn calories. Calories are burned every
single day even at rest but the amount of calories burned
per day depend on the daily BMR, dietary thermogenesis
and daily activities undertaken.
Even tensing the muscles up 100 times a day or
balancing on one leg will use up energy. Next time you're
standing in the queue at the bank try balancing on your
toes or even balancing on one leg. Your body is put under
a little stress and corresponds by burning calories.
Little things like that can help with long term weight
loss goals.
If you normally get a bus or train to work try
thinking about getting off at a stop earlier which may
not be possible with a train journey but with a bus
journey it is possible. Those extra steps every single
day will make a big difference to a persons overall
metabolism and weight loss.
Another great way to get those buns working is to
take the stairs and not everyone does enjoy to take the
stairs because a lift is always easier but by taking the
stairs within minutes the heart rate is increased forcing
the body to burn calories and the body is put under
exhaustion which forces the body to take in more oxygen
and actually helps to boost the hearts
health.
Every form of activity helps the heart. Any activity
that gets your heart pumping will help with your heart
health and burn calories.
Breaking those those little lazy habits can help you
to reach your weight loss goals quicker. When it comes to
reducing calories every little helps. Yes reducing the
calories through the diet helps but any form of activity
that gets the heart pumping will burn calories and the
more calories burned the faster the fat
loss.
Start making those little changes today and it won't
be long until you reach your ideal
weight.
